Jharkhand reported 45
cases of Covid-19 and 53 recoveries and the number of active cases stood at 456. As no casualties were recorded, the overall death toll stood at 1,081. Of the 24 districts, only six districts reported fresh infections with Ranchi reporting the highest, 24, followed by East Singhbum, 10. The rest witnessed cases in single digits.
As per government data, as many as 1,19,206 people have been infected by the virus till date, and 1,17,669 have recovered, taking the recovery rate to 98.71%. The seven-day growth rate of the virus in Jharkhand was 0.03% against the national average of 0.07%. The doubling rate of the virus in the state stood at 2155.74 days against the national figure of 938.28 days. The casualty rate through the pandemic in the state stood at 0.90%.
Meanwhile, a total of 13,588 beneficiaries, including 4,744 health workers and 8,844 frontline staff, were inoculated on Thursday across over 200 session sites in Jharkhand, out of the registered 26,329 beneficiaries.
The overall turnout for Thursday stood around 52%. As per health department data, a total of 1,74,501 beneficiaries, out of 3,49,819 registered ones, have been inoculated till date. A total of 256 AEFIs have been reported till date.
