ACC PAT jumps 73% to Rs472cr in Q3FY21; net sales increases by 2% yoy

ACC Limited delivered Profit After Tax at Rs472cr in Q3FY21 against Rs273cr in Q3FY20, a huge growth of 73%. Net Sales during the quarter increased to Rs4,066cr compared to Rs3,970cr last year, a growth of 2%. EBITDA during the quarter at Rs701cr showed a growth of 30% vs previous year Rs541cr with a margin expansion of 360 basis points.

“Generation of additional cash and cash equivalents of Rs1,357cr during the year 2020, driven mainly by strong working capital actions,” company said in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

The Board of Directors has recommended payment of final dividend at Rs14 per share of Rs10.

“As India continues to fight Covid-19 successfully, it is promising to see that our economy is on its path to recovery. The Union Budget is expected to give further impetus to the economic revival. At ACC, we have demonstrated our resilience in these times.

In Jan 2021, we successfully commissioned our new Grinding Unit at Sindri in the State of Jharkhand, with a cement capacity of 1.4 MTPA. This growth project will further strengthen our position in the eastern region,” said Sridhar Balakrishnan, Managing Director & CEO.

At around 10.36 am, ACC Ltd was trading at Rs1,800.35 per piece up by Rs24.1 or 1.36% on the BSE.
