Star Wars: Republic Commando Nintendo Switch Version Possibly Leaked

It seems that cult shooter Star Wars: Republic Commando may be hitting the Nintendo Switch sooner rather than later. According to update data on Nintendo servers discovered by Nintendo enthusiast site Nintendo Everything, it’s safe to expect a release date for Star Wars: Republic Commando for the Nintendo Switch or at the very least, an official announcement of its existence.

This isn’t the first time Nintendo Switch games have been leaked in this fashion. Previously, Fortnite and Paladins for the hybrid console had met the same fate.

Publishing duties appear to be handled by Aspyr, according to the data. The company had already released classic Star Wars titles to the Nintendo Switch. These include Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Episode I Racer.

Star Wars: Republic Commando first released in 2005. It was developed by LucasArts for the PC and original Xbox. A possible Nintendo Switch release would be a great way to introduce this classic to a generation of Star Wars fans.

With the Nintendo Switch being home to a slew of titles from Nintendo’s own first-party hits to retro re-releases like old Star Wars games, it will be interesting to see what Aspyr brings to the platform next.
