Peru needs over 36,000 additional mobile base stations by end-2025 - Osiptel

Peru's telecommunications regulator Osiptel said the country requires a further 36,695 mobile base stations by the end of 2025 to meet surging mobile data demand. According to a report from the watchdog, there were 24,076 mobile antennas in the country in 2019, a figure that needs to rise to 34,577 by the end of 2022, 49,135 in 2023 and 60,771 by the end of 2025.
