Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Preorders Are Live For PS5

You won't have to wait too much longer to play one of the most anticipated PS5 exclusives of 2021. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's release date on PS5 is June 11. Digital are live now on the PlayStation Store, and physical edition preorders should be available soon. You can preorder two different editions, both of which come with some sweet preorder bonuses that will surely delight longtime fans of the action-platformer franchise.

All Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart preorders come with two in-game bonuses. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando fans will likely remember the slick Carbonox armor. The suit has been updated and will even have ray-traced reflections. You'll also get the Pixelizer, a retro-infused blaster that was featured in the 2016 remake of the original Ratchet & Clank.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will make great use of the PS5's fast-loading SSD. The dimensional rifts that Ratchet zips through during the adventure were prominently featured when Sony debuted the game during the PS5 showcase event.

The story sees Ratchet & Clank and allies both old and new work to stop a robot emperor from taking control of multiple dimensions. A new female Lombax will also join the fray, and she will be a playable character. Clank will also have new mechanics at his disposal, and as always, you can expect a varied arsenal of weapons to unlock and upgrade to help you topple the evil robot emperor and its minions.
