75-year-old woman files property fraud case against son, grandson

Gurgaon: A 75-year-old woman filed a complaint against her son and grandson for fraudulently transferring and selling her property and also torturing her.
Noor Jahan (75) has three sons — Mohammad Iqbal, Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Ilyas — and two daughters. A resident of Nuh, Noor owns multiple properties, including a house constructed over 300 square yard in South City 1.
In 2005, Iqbal and his son Faisal, persuaded her to give her thumbprint on some legal papers by allegedly telling her that they would lease out her South City-1 property through which she could earn rent. In 2016, the duo sold 50% of the property, police said. “I am an illiterate and did not have any reason to doubt my grandson and elder son in 2005,” she said.
She told police that in last October, Iqbal and his wife asked her to transfer her properties to them. “As I refused, they abused and thrashed me. I filed a case against them on October 19, 2020,” Noor said. She recently got to know that 50% of her South City 1 property had been sold. A n FIR under sections 120 (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) and 406 of the IPC was registered at Sector 40 police station. TNN
