“Name Your Price” - The Second Edition

Author Joe R. Eagleman Ph.D. helms this inspiring book about standing up for what you believe in and succeeding.

Miami, FL – WEBWIRE

Joe R. Eagleman Ph.D. reveals the secrets in this autobiography, about the challenges in his life, and how to overcome them. The book serves as a guide to positivity and self-motivation, as reflected from his early education in a rural grade school. His invention of an artificial tornado at his laboratory at the University of Kansas generated interest from an international filmmaker of a news crew in Japan. It was a product of sheer determination. Then it became the subject of a lawsuit between Universal Studios in Hollywood and the Volvo Company.

After being told by Universal Studios to ‘name your price’ - he became involved in a successful lawsuit. A 50-foot version of his tornado was the main attraction at the Twister Building, Universal Studios Park at Orlando Florida, from 1998 to 2015. A replica of his tornado was created with his help by Ned Kahn at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, where it continues to attract viewers and has for many decades.

This biopic reveals the detail of his early life on the farm as one of 12 children when told by his older brother that he would never amount to anything. He also shared experiences in a one-room rural grade school and how he dealt with bullies on the playground at that time. It helped the author pave his development as a scientist, artist, musician, luthier, marksman, taxidermist, and other endeavors.

His unique journey to becoming a Professor and Research Scientist is described in full detail. His career resulted in one who had experiments on Skylab and who influenced thousands of students through his teaching and books and formulated national changes to tornado safety guidelines. He started and developed the program in Atmospheric Science at KU that has now grown into a full department where Joe Eagleman Scholarships are given to worthy students.
