FA Cup – Barnsley vs Chelsea Results: Barnsley welcomed Chelsea to play the 5th match tie of the FA Cup. Chelsea earned a hard-fought victory against a strong Barnsley side to win the match 0-1 and advance in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel made 10 changes to the side that defeated Sheffield United. Only Christensen retains his place in the starting 11. The new signings Thiago Silva, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz are all rested.

Barnsley played really well and gave Chelsea a hard time defending the ball. They forced some good saves from Kepa but just could not finish the ball. The Championship side had 14 shots on the goal, 4 of which were on target.

The teams went into half-time with a score of 0-0. The deadlock was not broken until the 64th minute to mark his 6th goal of the last 7 FA Cup matches.

Reece James burst into space down the right and charged into the free space to draw Collins before fizzing a low ball across the goal for Tammy Abraham to tap into an empty net.

It looked offside but the goal stands and the Blues gain the lead and win the match to advance into the 4th Round of the FA Cup.
