Now ready for a smart journey in trains Now, in one click, you will be able to consume the sunlight from the windows, and in the second click, you will be able to avoid the eyes of outsiders in the coach. In fact, Railways have started replacing curtains in trains with polymer dispersed liquid crystal-based glass windows. Its specialty is that it will be able to make passengers transparent at their convenience.
With the help of this new technology equipped with a polymer dispersed liquid crystal-based switch, you will determine whether to keep the passenger winds of the train transparent during the journey. This technology will also protect passengers from privacy, strong sunlight, and ultraviolet rays. It has been started as a pilot project in New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani Express.
Railways will also take feedback from passengers about this. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also made a tweet on Wednesday about the specialty of this new technology-based window. In this, he has said that a new window has been installed in Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, making another start towards providing new facilities with modern technology. Through this, passengers can make the window glass transparent or opaque at their convenience with the help of just one switch.
It is noteworthy that due to security reasons, the railway is removing the curtain in the coach of the train. In such a situation, the passengers had to be disturbed by the light coming from the glass during the night and the bright rays of the sun during the summer days. Due to the installation of this smart window, where the privacy of the passengers will remain intact, the light will be managed from outside in the coach as per convenience.
