Licypriya named in 'Forbes 30 under 30' special mention list

Young environmentalist, Licypriya Kangujam has been included in the 'Forbes 30 under 30' special mentions list for 2021.The announcement was made by Forbes India on February 8 in recognition of her efforts to protect the environment and her fight against climate change.
Forbes 30 under 30 is a set of lists annually published by Forbes magazine and some of its regional editions.
Forbes India said in their official website, 'the list of special mentions were those people apart from the 30 listees, we find people we couldn't ignore in nearly every category even if they didn't make the cut for the final list - these are 2021's people to watch out for'.
Forbes India said, 'Licypriya Kangujam, the 9 year old climate and environmental activist has been championing her cause - to protect, preserve and nurture the environment by fighting climate change - since she was six.
In 2019, she addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Conference in Madrid, calling them to take immediate climate actions.
Her first speech was at the Asia Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in June 2018.She has spoken at over 400 institutions and other platforms in more than 32 countries'.
She posted on her Facebook, 'I'm truly humbled to find my name in the Forbes list.
