Cantabil Retail India Ltd, an apparel manufacturer and retailer, has reported 5.6 per cent decrease in its revenue to ₹97.5 crore in its third quarter (Q3) FY21 ended on December 31, 2020, compared to revenue of ₹103.3 crore in same period previous fiscal. Company's profit after tax for Q3 was ₹10.1 crore (Q3 FY20: ₹11.3 crore).

“We are happy to share that this quarter’s performance has been better than the first half of the year, indicative of things gradually getting back on track post the lockdown due to pandemic,” Vijay Bansal, chairman & managing director, Cantabil Retail India Limited said.

EBIDTA for the period fell to ₹24.5 crore (₹32.0 crore).

“We are delighted to inform that the factory is now running at full capacity. We have done decent sales during the quarter and are at about 94 per cent of last year’s sales. The footfalls have also increased gradually leading to increase in conversion rate and more number of bills. Our strategy of moving to tier 2 and tier 3 cities has paid off well,” Bansal said.

“The company is now confident and restarted its expansion plan by opening 13 new stores during the quarter making it a total of 311 stores in 17 states, out of which 224 stores are company owned company operated and 87 stores are franchise owned franchise operated,” Bansal said in the release.
