Dutch spectrum regulator to focus this year on safety equipment, AI, 5G and infrastructure

Dutch spectrum regulator Agentschap Telecom (AT) will this year intensify the supervision of equipment safety, regulator said in its Annual Supervision Plan for 2021. The focus will go to, for example, electrical safety and cyber security. AT is preparing for its new supervisory task of certifying (smart) equipment. Certified equipment must meet strict safety requirements to better protect against hacking, among other things. This is an important step for digital security, the regulator said.
