No relief in income tax rates for middle class in Union Budget: Maran

New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI) DMK Member Dayanidhi Maran on Wednesday said that there was no relief in income tax rates for middle class in the Union Budget 2021-22.

Participating in the discussion on the Union Budget for 2021-2022 in the Lok Sabha, the DMK Member

said, 'Income tax exemption was not given to the middle class in the budget, which was expected.'

'During the Corona period the employment of tourism, hotel and aviation sector companies and lakhs of people associated with them had a very bad effect, for which no relief announcement was made in the budget, which is unfortunate,' he said.

He said the International Monetary Fund has emphasised investing in the strengthening of green and

digital infrastructure in India, but the government is not focused on it.
