Yesterday, the sudden demise of Bollywood actor and filmmaker Rajiv Kapoor sent shockwaves across the nation. The 58-year-old celebs passed away due to cardiac arrest. While the funeral took, Kareena Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have issued a statement, which reads, "Due to the current pandemic circumstance, there will not be a Chautha held for late Mr Rajiv Kapoor for safety reasons. May his soul rest in peace. The entire Raj Kapoor family is a part of your grief too." While actors like Raza Murad, Prem Chopra, Anu Malik, Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Tara Sutaria and others were seen with the Kapoor family during this period of grief, family members and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Babita, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan paid their last respects to Rajiv Kapoor. Randhir spoke about his brother's death yesterday and told ABP News, “After he suffered a heart attack at home, he was taken to Inlaks hospital but the doctors declared him dead even before admission. It's unfortunate he could not be saved. His last movie will be posthumous appearance in his upcoming movie, Toolsidas Junior, alongside Sanjay Dutt. Remembering the actor on social media, Ashutosh Gowariker, “I was a great fan of Rajiv Kapoor, from his Ram Teri Ganga Maili days. It was a superb debut performance. I carried that memory with me for many years and then we connected quite a few times since Lagaan. And when an opportunity arrived in the form of my production of TOOLSIDAS JUNIOR, (which is directed by Mridul), I cast him in it.” Rajiv Kapoor was a part of films like Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Mera Saathi, Ek Jaan Hain Hum and Hum To Chale Pardes among others. He directed Rishi Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit starrer Prem Granth and also bankrolled Aa Ab Laut Chalen, which was helmed by Rishi Kapoor.
