BCCI announces full schedule for Indian cricket team for 2021-23, no break for Indian cricketers in next 2 years

Indian Cricket Team Full Schedule 2021-23: Indian cricketers have been playing non-stop cricket since the sport resumed after the Covid-19 outbreak. Now, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the national team’s schedule for the next two years. The year 2020 was expected to be an incredibly busy year for the team but the pandemic brought a halt to all tournaments across the globe. The major events like the Asia Cup, T20 World Cup had to be postponed, which now makes the year 2021 packed. Announcing the team’s schedule for 2021 to 2023, the BCCI has given a glimpse of the sort of series and tournaments the senior national team will be busy with.

No respite for Indian Cricket Team: BCCI announcement is clearly contrary to what the Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri had wished. The star cricketers have been on the road from August as they traveled to the UAE for IPL 2020. Quarantine periods and bio-bubbles have become commonplace in the sport due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and India players have experienced their fair share of it.

“I do believe you need a break from international cricket at some point. After the England series, yes they go into the IPL. Again after the IPL, a couple of weeks off is a must. Because in these quarantines, in these bubbles, it is mentally draining. You are a human, at the end of it all,” Ravi Shastri told Star Sports.
