Ceridian: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Ceridian HCM Holding Inc. (CDAY) on Tuesday reported a loss of $17.3 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Minneapolis-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 9 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 8 cents per share.
The provider of human-resources software and services posted revenue of $222.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $218 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $4 million, or 3 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $842.5 million.
Ceridian expects full-year revenue in the range of $220 million to $224 million.
Ceridian shares have fallen almost 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $104.73, an increase of 52% in the last 12 months.
