Apple heeft in de iOS 14.5 update de mogelijkheid om incidenten te melden in Apple Maps toegevoegd. Vergelijkbare functionaliteit wordt al geruime tijd aangeboden in bijvoorbeeld Google Maps en Waze. Ook het Nederlandse Flitsmeister werkt op basis van een combinatie van crowd-based informatie en informatie uit andere databronnen.
