France's broadcasting regulator CSA announced on Twitter that it has given the green light to the testing of new portals offering interactive services based on the HbbTV standard. The pilots will be carried out by Salto, the joint venture of France Televisions, M6 and TF1, and by Franco-German TV network Arte. This development is part of the CSA's modernisation drive for the digital terrestrial television (DTT) platform, following the ongoing work carried out by the regulator and the country's main broadcasters.
