UDUPI: The ‘Kandaya Adalat’ juggernaut of Udupi district administration in Karnataka on Tuesday rolled into Kundapur taluk.
A team of revenue officials - headed by deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha - disposed of various revenue matters pertaining to Kundapur hobli in the presence of Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty at the Haladi Shalini G Shankar Convention Centre.
The adalat also dealt with ‘pauthi’ and pension adalat related issues as well.
The revenue department disbursed 42 ‘hakku patra’ to 42 beneficiaries under 94C regularisation scheme.
Pension disbursal orders were issued to 108 beneficiaries under the social security schemes.
In 67 other cases, pension adalat was held and pension was disbursed to the beneficiaries on the spot.
Steps were taken to carry out changes to ‘pahani’ in 2268 cases and 191 applications accepted pertaining to as many land in ‘pauthi adalat’.
In 63 ‘11E’ revenue sketch cases, steps were taken to ensure corrections in records mismatch. Jagadeesha said these adalats will help the administration pare down the number of pendency cases and give relief to people and also save them the trouble of coming to the revenue offices repeatedly.
Sadashiva Prabhu, additional DC, K Raju, assistant commissioner, Kundapur sub-division and Anandappa Naik, Kundapur tahsildar were present.
