A glacial burst in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district triggered an avalanche and massive flooding, which reportedly killed many and at least 170 people are missing. As soon as the tragic news hit the internet, many celebrities from television and film fraternity offered prayers for those affected by the natural calamity. Now, popular actress Kavita Kaushik took to her social media account and prayed for the safety of those affected by the mishap. The actress also shared that she was enjoying herself a few days ago in the same river which is flooded now. In the pictures, Kavita is posing in the middle of the river and posing happily. Her husband Ronnit Biswas was there, too. Kavita wrote alongside, 'Just a few days back I was confidently jumping into these rivers which are flooded today... my heart is full of prayers for the safety of all ... and head bows in gratitude to mother nature for the close escape.' She added, 'The hills are not meant for heavy developments, the rivers are naturally unfit to be controlled by dams, let Nature be natural and free... pls #devbhoomi #devbhoomiuttarakhand.' Earlier, other television actors such as Mohit Raina and Archana Puran Singh too tweeted about the calamity. Mohit had tweeted, 'Have Witnessed the disasters in Uttarakhand since 1991. Prayers for the safety of everyone.' Archana Puran Singh also posted videos from the affected areas and wrote, 'The distress. The death. The destruction.
