Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor died at the age of 58 on Tuesday, 9th February 2021. Rajiv Kapoor comes from a family of actors. He is the son of legendary Late Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor. Rajiv was born on 25th August 1962 in Chembur, Mumbai.
He is the youngest of the famous Kapoor Brothers, late Rishi Kapoor, and Randhir Kapoor.
Rajiv made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the movie ‘Ek Jaan Hai Hum’ which was released in 1983. His most memorable film was Ram Teri Ganga Maili in which he played the role of ‘Narendra Sahay’ alongside actor Mandakini.
He acted in several other films with the most notable being Aasmaan (1984), Lover Boy (1985), Zabardast (1985), and Hum To Chale Pardes (1988). He made his last film appearance in Zimmedaar in 1990. After this, he turned into producing and directing films.
He made his producer debut in 1991 with the film Henna, which was directed by his brother Randhir and starred his other brother Rishi Kapoor with Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiyar.
With PremGranth in 1996, Rajiv made his directorial debut in the industry, which also turned out to be his last. PremGranth was commercially unsuccessful and starred his brother Rishi Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
He was married to Aarti Sabharwal in 2001, but later in the year 2003, both got divorced.
