UK govt confirms TV licence fee increase to GBP 159 from April

The UK government has confirmed an increase in the cost of an annual TV licence from GBP 157.50 to GBP 159 from 01 April 2021. In 2016, the government said the TV licence fee would rise in line with inflation for five years from April 2017. The cost of an annual black and white licence will rise from GBP 53 to GBP 53.50.
