Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait said, "There will be no trade on hunger in the country." The higher the price of the grain, the more will be the hunger. Those who trade with hunger will be driven out. Just as the price of plane tickets varies three to four times a day, the price of the crop cannot be fixed in that way.
Tikait said these laws have not been made by asking any farmer. We will return only after agreeing with the government. Tikait also condemned the efforts to divide the farmers' movement on the basis of caste and religion. He said this campaign was first shown as an issue of Punjab. It was then introduced as a Sikh and then a Jat issue. The farmers of this country are united. No farmer is big or small. This campaign is for all farmers.
Tikait claimed that the government is bringing a policy on milk imports and large quantities of milk are being imported from abroad. He said, the cost is high and the milk sales rate in the country is low. He also spoke of protecting the interests of people engaged in the supply of dairy and milk in the country. He said the implementation of a new policy of the government on the import of such products could threaten the livelihood of the community.
PM appeal to MLAs-MPs to give pension
Tikait said, just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged people to give up subsidy on LPG cylinders, similarly PM should appeal that MLAs and MPs should give up their pension. These funds should be used for the youth. For this, the Kisan Morcha will thank.
If MSP will remain, then why not a legal guarantee
On the PM's statement, the member of the United Kisan Morcha Abhimanyu Kohar said, "If the government is claiming that the MSP will remain, then why is it not giving legal guarantee to it." Farmers' unions are ready to renegotiate with the government, but a formal invitation should be received. Any issue should be resolved through proper dialogue.
On Modi's statement of 'agitator', Kohad said, such parasites occur in every movement. At the same time, Shivkumar Kakka, a senior member of the Morcha said, the movement has an important role in democracy. People have the right to protest against the wrong policies of the government. At the same time, Sukhdev Singh, General Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan), Punjab, questioned why the government does not want to give the legal guarantees on MSP. He alleged that an attempt was being made to wander the issue.
