Stock market update: 134 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 111.20 points up at 15227.00 on Tuesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Apollo Hospitals, Balkrishna Industries, Blue Dart Express, Dalmia Bharat, DLF, Exide Industries, Grasim Industries, ICICI Bank, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Steel, Minda Industries, NCC, P&G Hygiene and Health Care and Voltas.

Overall, 40 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 10 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, ONGC, HDFC Life, SBI Life and Titan Company were among top gainers, while Indian Oil Corp, M&M, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finance were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 352.34 points up at 51701.11. Traders were seen piling up position in General, Diversified, Industrial Consumables, Building Materials and IT - Hardware sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Tyres, IT Enabled Services, Media & Entertainment and Miscellaneous sectors.
