Two held for prostitution in Goa, five rescued

PANAJI: Crime branch of Goa police on Monday busted a prostitution racket in Colva, which was being operated from a massage parlour. They rescued five women and arrested two persons.
After receiving a tip-off, crime branch personnel conducted a raid at the salon and massage parlour at Colva. Crime branch SP Shobhit Saksena said that Suraj Sharma and Santosh Sonavane forced the victims into prostitution.
An offence has been registered at the crime branch under Section 370(3) read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 5 and 7of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. The accused are remanded in five days police custody.
