No new coronavirus cases, deaths in Sikkim

Gangtok, Feb 9 (UNI) The active cases in Sikkim remained at 67 as there were no new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, said said IEC member Sonam Bhutia.

No new deaths were recorded and the total deaths due to the infection remained at 135.

Out of the total 6110 cases registered so far 5813 have been discharged on recovery.

As many as 639 health and frontline workers received coronavirus vaccine shots across the state in a day.

Infant succumbs to COVID-19 in Meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 8 (UNI) A one-month-old female baby has died of COVID-19 in Meghalaya, taking the total number of fatalities in the state to 148, even as one more person tested positive for the viral infection on Monday, health officials said.
