Vodafone Germany said it has increased the bandwidth for LTE connections, using the 2100 MHz frequency band previously used for 3G. The operator has increased the bandwidth by 5 MHz to a total of 15 MHz. Vodafone secured the additional bandwidth through the Federal Network Agency's auction in summer 2019. In a few months, the average speed on the LTE network will increase again because of the 3G shutdown.
