Full backing to three controversial linear projects – double tracking, power transmission line and expansion of national highway shows that the Bharatiya Janata Party government has scant concern for Goa and Goans, said the AAP leader Surel Tilve.
Addressing the media, AAP spokesperson Tilve said that BJP state executive committee on Sunday passed a resolution, backing these projects in the name of development and employment generation when there is stiff opposition from the people.
The party alleged that “the Chief Minister is not listening to the people of Goa,” and added that his latest statement that the Mollem project will be completed despite opposition from people of Goa is a proof of that.
He said that “the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured his Delhi party leaders that the Tamnar transmission project will be completed even though entire Goa is protesting against it.”
“Goans do not want their state to be converted into a coal hub, but the Chief Minister is refusing to listen to them,” said Tilve.
He appealed to the Chief Minister to listen to the people’s voice.
