Philadelphia residents who signed up for COVID-19 vaccine shots have received incorrect confirmation emails.
The recipients were told that their first shots
will be given at the Pennsylvania Convention Center this weekend. But that is incorrect, according to BillyPenn.
In fact, second doses will be
dispensed at Convention Center this weekend to former PFC patients.
The incorrect reminder emails were sent by a third party that failed to cancel them once they were
shut down, the story continues.
The Health Department issued this statement:
"We believe that PFC (Philly Fighting Covid) has canceled all of their scheduled appointments after we reached out to their vendor. The Health Department apologizes for the confusion that this situation has created.”

It continues: “Everyone that received their first dose of COVID vaccine through Philly Fighting Covid should have had their second appointment rescheduled through the Health Department.”
It advises recipients of the inaccurate emails to check at the Health Department website: vaccines@phila.gov.
