Mrs Bectors Food Specialities records a stellar Dec 2020 quarter; PAT skyrockets 89% yoy to Rs21cr

Mrs Bectors Food Specialities registered a 86% rise in its net profit to Rs 21 crore during the quarter ending December 2020 (Q3FY21) period. A year ago the same period, the company posted a profit of Rs11.

On the top-line front, Mrs Bectors recorded an 11% increase in revenues at Rs226cr in Q3 FY21 compared to Rs203cr in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

Anoop Bector, Managing Director said, "During the last quarter, the festives have helped to create a positive sentiment amongst consumers across India despite CoVID-19. The Company witnessed a strong volume uptick for its products across all categories, especially in the premium category. There has been significant increase in the price realizations too."

The MD added, "We have witnessed a double-digit growth in our biscuits segment backed by strong demand in both domestic as well as exports market. Our branded breads and bakery products have also seen an increased level of demand with the change in dietary habits and lifestyle behaviours during CoVID-19. Institutional bakery sales also started picking up pace as restaurants have opened after relaxation of CoVID-19 restrictions. The institutional bakery sales are coming back to pre-CoVID levels."

"The Company has able to procure raw materials and distribute its products smoothly through its strong multichannel distribution network PAN India," Bector said.

At around 2.09 pm, Mrs Bectors was trading flat at Rs411.10 per piece on Sensex. The stock has touched an intraday high and low of Rs420.95 per piece and Rs408.80 per piece so far today.
