Colombian fibre subs up 1 mln to 16% of internet total in Q3

Colombia reached a total of 1.2 million fibre-optic connections at the end of the third quarter of 2020, up over 1 million year on year, according to a report from the country's ICT ministry Mintic. The figure is equivalent to 15.7 percent of the fixed line total, behind cable with 4.7 million subscribers and DSL with 1.3 million. Average landline speeds more than doubled to 30.6Mbps in the July to September period.
