Ranbir Kapoor is back in town, while Alia Bhatt is on her way back to Mumbai from her Maldivian vacation. Ranbir had recently jetted off to Delhi to shoot Director Luv Ranjan (Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pyaar Ka Punchnama)’s next with Shraddha Kapoor. However, although Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt make a round of the capital recently, the two couldn’t spend a lot of time together. So, come Valentine’s Day weekend, one of Bollywood’s much loved jodis will get the opportunity to finally spend some quality time in each other's company. A source close to Ranbir tells us, “RK has been busy with back-to-back shoots. He has a few off days now before the next schedule of Luv’s film kickstarts in March. Even Alia has to get back on the sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi and begin prepping for another film. The source also informs us that Ranbir Kapoor may head to Spain for a 15-20 day schedule around May, and in order to be able to join him there, Alia Bhatt will be working full throttle to complete her commitments here. Speaking about Gangubai Kathiawadi and the amount that the digital rights of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has been sold for; a source was quoted by Pinkvilla saying, “The post release streaming rights of Gangubai have been sold to an OTT giant for a hefty sum in the vicinity of Rs 70 crore. The paperwork is currently underway. The star-cast, grandeur and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s goodwill have led the team of Gangubai towards striking this massive deal. His films have a loyal audience outside India too, and the streaming platform too has a base to cater to them.”
Anyway, for now, it looks like there's some much-needed cozy times ahead for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the immediate future.
