Despite scoring only 178 runs in their second innings, England have a huge lead of 419 runs against India, on Day 4 of the first Test match in Chennai's MA Chidambaram. The visitors have been bowled out for 419 runs after 46.3 overs. Joe Root was the top performer for England, scoring 40 off 32 deliveries. Ravichandran Ashwin was on fire for India, taking six wickets, which included the dismissals of Rory Burns (0), Dom Sibley (16), Ben Stokes (7), Dom Bess (25), Jofra Archer (5) and James Anderson (0). Shahbaz Nadeem also took two wickets, meanwhile Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah took a wicket each. The hosts have a huge task on hand, and need to score 420 runs.
