The Automated Deposit and Withdrawal Machine (ADWM) of the State Bank of India (SBI) is not only configured for making cash withdrawals, but can also be used for essential banking services. As per the recent tweet SBI said that "Why stand in a queue when you can avail key banking facilities on an ADWM near you? Watch the video to know more about the facilities available on it".

A glance about ADWM

An ATM-like device that helps you to deposit cash instantly into your savings account using the ATM cum debit card is the Cash Deposit Machine, commonly identified as the Automated Deposit cum Withdrawal Machine (ADWM). Without entering the branch, you can use this device to directly credit your account. Your revised account balance is also provided to you via the transaction receipt or statement.

  • Fast and easy transactions of cash deposits and withdrawals.
  • All new paperless services
  • Using ADWM you can make direct cash deposits to your PPF, RD and loan accounts.
  • One can make direct cash deposits to self or third party SBI accounts.
  • For cardless deposit, the per-transaction cap is Rs 49,900 and has surrendered with PAN number by Debit Cards Rs 2 lakhs subject to account.
  • Through a single transaction it is possible to deposit up to 200 currency notes.
  • The ADWM supports currency notes of Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500 & Rs 2000 variants only.
  • No costs or processing fees is charged for depositing cash using the SBI debit card in a personal account.
  • A minimal charge of Rs 22 including GST is imposed for cardless deposit and cash deposit with a debit card through SME Insta/Business.
  • You can also render cash withdrawals from this SBI machine as well as from the accounts of other banks.
  • Facilitates cardless cash withdrawal through ADWMs permitted by Yono cash.
  • You can update your password at regular intervals by using this service.
  • To know the current available balance in your account, you can use the balance enquiry facility. After swiping your card, this facility is available on the main option screen. You can check the balance on the screen by selecting the 'Go Green' option. Or else you can select the print option to get a transaction receipt.
  • Using the mini account statement service you can keep a record of the transactions of your account. Using the mini account statement service you can keep a record of the transactions of your account. The mini-statement provides you with an overview of your account's last 10 transactions.
  • You can also generate SBI Green PIN using ADWM.
