She is a kathak visharad and always enjoys performing on stage. She told in a interview with TOI that acting was never a career option for her. She was quoted as saying, “Being a classical dancer, acting was something that I was interested in but never thought of pursuing it full time. I used to entertain my family and friends by mimicking my teachers and friends, but that was it. After a few years, I left dancing and focussed on my studies. During the first year of my engineering, I did my kathak visharad and used to give solo performances but again left it to complete my engineering. However, after I completed my studies I knew that I wanted to do something different and creative. So while I was discussing suitable career options with my father, he was the one who suggested that I should try my luck with acting. That’s how I began my journey.”

Talking about the rejections she faced, she said, “Rejection is a part of life but I’m not a quitter and hence the rejection didn’t bother me much. I kept on giving auditions as it helped me work on my craft. Although I have worked in both TV and OTT I believe that TV’s reach will never diminish as geographically many parts still do not have access to smartphones.”
