Bengaluru: Duo stole bikes to snatch mobiles; held

BENGALURU: Three persons who allegedly stole bikes to snatch mobile phones were arrested in Bengaluru on Monday.
Kabir, 20, Parvez, 21, and Shahid Afridi Khan, 24, from Arafath Nagar are the accused.
Kabir and Parvez used to steal bikes from across the city and go on a spree snatching mobiles phones from people on the road. They would abandon the bikes and flee. Based on the CCTV footage from the crime scene, JJ Nagar police nabbed Kabir and Parvez. They revealed the involvement of Shahid Afridi to whom they sold the phones. Shahid took them to the second-hand phones market.
“We’ve seized seven bikes and 30 mobile phones worth Rs 9.5 lakh from the accused. They are in judicial custody,” police said.
