Covid-19: Vaccines 'likely to prevent serious illness from variants'

England's Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Van-Tam says it is likely the vaccines offered in the UK will offer a reduction in serious illness caused by Covid-19 variants.

He urged people not to delay their vaccinations and to protect themselves against the current threat.
