Deutsche Telekom picks Nokia to upgrade optical network

Deutsche Telekom has picked Nokia to upgrade its optical network, the Finnish company said. Nokia will deploy its WaveFabric platforms and its WaveSuite software portfolio, which includes the Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) powered by the PSE-V family of coherent DSPs (digital signal processors) to transform Telekom's network.
