Lithuania's ambassador to India, Julius Pranavicius, claimed on Sunday that his country could prove to be the door for Indian companies to expand their presence in the European market. Julius said, Lithuania, headed by one of the youngest governments in the world, wants to build broad-based relations with India.
Ambassador Julius said that Lithuania, in particular, is eyeing connectivity with India in emerging high-growth areas such as fintech, life sciences, digital technology, and pharmaceuticals. For this, he also offered to provide a dynamic business environment to Indian investors on behalf of his country.
The Lithuanian ambassador said, our country is emerging as a growing fintech hub globally and Indian companies wishing to expand into Europe can use this Baltic country as the 'door' too big markets in the region.
Julius said, the 'young' Lithuanian government led by Prime Minister Simonite is focusing its attention on high growth areas for economic development with new energy and vision and relations with India are a high priority.
Lithuania is a member of the powerful NATO group as well as the European Union and the average age of the new government formed in recent December in this major Baltic country is just 40 years.
