Now there is no need to enjoy the wildness, views and warmth of the forest. Tourists can now visit the forest department’s eco-tourism hubs of Senthuruni, Gavi and Ponmudi with insurance coverage, which covers 44 important eco-tourism destinations in Kerala.
Gavi: There would be compensation up to Rs. 2 lakh for accidental death and up to Rs. 10,000 for the injured. Thiruvananthapuram: Ponmudi, Mankayam Falls – Rs. 1 lakh for accidental death. Neyyar boat ride, Agasthyarkoodam trekking – Rs. 3 lakh for accidental death. Kollam: Palaruvi, Kumbhavurutty Falls – Rs. 2 lakh for accidental death. Idukki Wildlife – Maximum Rs. 5 lakhs for death and injury.
Besides the above mentioned plans, there are other treatments for emergencies and disabilities.
