  • Take a look at some of the highlights from his performance below.

The Weeknd brought the house down with his performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, entertaining fans with some of his greatest hits.

From Starboy to Blinding Lights, the singer brought his A-Game with an enthralling halftime show.

If you haven't seen it, here's what you missed:

Blinding lights

Though The Weeknd had no guest appearances during his performance, there was no shortage of theatrics to keep viewers entertained. From fireworks to a mirrored room filled with golden lights, a giant moon and a stage imitating city lights, it was definitely a performance that was pretty to look at.

Bandaged dancers

We were all a little confused when The Weeknd showed up to the American Music Awards in 2020 with a full face of bandages. The star recently explained the meaning behind the look and how it is meant to reflect the "absurd culture of Hollywood celebrity".

For his Super Bowl performance, the singer took it to a new level, with an army of dancers wearing his signature After Hours character's red jacket along with a full face of bandages.

Back me up

Another highlight came in the form of a massive choir who joined the singer on stage, with an orchestra stepping in later for a powerful rendition of Earned It which saw The Weeknd showing off his incredible vocal capabilities.

Earned it

Many celebrities sang the praises of The Weeknd including fellow Canadian star Drake, legendary singer Dionne Warwick and actor Timothée Chalamet.

It's a much-needed win for the star who found himself slighted by the 2021 Grammys, receiving zero nominations at the award show for his critically acclaimed After Hours album. Though in a recent interview, The Weeknd made it clear that he does not care much for the Grammys anymore.

Tracklist

Here are the songs The Weeknd performed during his show:

Starboy, The Hills, Blinding Lights, Can't Feel My Face, I Feel It Coming, Save Your Tears, Earned It and House of Balloons.
