Fibre boat capsizes, 2 fishermen drown off Killai coast

Chennai, Feb 7 (UNI) In a tragic incident, two fishermen
were drowned after their fibre boat capsized off the Killai
coast in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu today morning.
Police sources said four fishermen had ventured into the
sea for fishing yesterday evening.
While they were returning to the shore, the boat overturned
near the sea mouth off Killai coast following which two were
drowned.
The deceased were identified as K Veera Tamilan (50) and
S.Tamilan (52), natives of MGR Thittu near Killai, while two
others--Murugan and Gunasekaran--swam to safety.
The bodies were washed ashore near the Mudasalodai coast.
They were retrieved and sent to Chidambaram government
hospital for post mortem.
