In his first election rally in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in the state. Addressing a rally in Haldia, he said, “The party of maa, maati, maanus is making farmers suffer, while you can see who is working to benefit farmers.”
