Haryana Police Recovered Stolen Property Worth Rs 26,50,147

Chandigarh, February 07: Haryana Police has recovered stolen property worth Rs 26,50,147 to control crime in the state.

A spokesperson for the Police Department said that 13 cases were registered under the Excise Act as the police recovered 608 bottles of Indian liquor, 11 bottles of illegal liquor, 275 kg of lahn, 29 bottles of English liquor. Also, to curb the menace of drug trafficking, the police raided various places and registered 40 cases under the NDPS Act. They seized 117 kg 900 grams Churaposta, 8 grams 14 mg smack, One kg 690 grams opium, one-kilogram Gaza, 600 grams 236.163 mg heroin.

The spokesperson said that seven cases were registered under the Arms Act on the recovery of 11 pistols, a revolver, and 64 live cartridges. Under the Gambling Act, 13 cases were registered, including cases of betting and gambling. The police recovered an amount of Rs 1,28,335 from them.
