Maharashtra: Man involved in four murder cases in Yavatmal city, held in Kalyan

The arrested person has been identified as Virendra Kolhe, a resident of Patipura area in Yavatmal.
KALYAN: The Bhiwandi crime unit of Thane police has arrested an accused from Kalyan, who is involved in four different murder cases in Yavatmal city.
The arrested person has been identified as Virendra Kolhe, 31. He is a resident of Patipura area in Yavatmal.
The Bhiwandi crime branch team led by senior police inspector Ashok Honmane on Saturday arrested Kolhe from Chakkinaka area in Kalyan, where he was hiding his identity and working at a two wheeler service center.
The official said that Kolhe last committed fourth murder in 2019 when he was on bail in third murder, which he had committed in 2018. The police said Kolhe, who was prime accused in the murder case was on the run since than.
Talking to TOI, Honmane said, "Recently we came to know about the accused hiding in Kalyan and on basis of his photograph available with us we started hunt for him. By usinf our informer network we finally reached up to culprit who was hiding by changing his identity and look".
