Four states got business reforms, will get an additional loan of 5 thousand crores

The Union Finance Ministry said on Saturday that four states, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Assam, have completed the reforms prescribed for ease of doing business. The ministry further said these states are being allowed to take an additional loan of Rs 5,034 crore from the open market.

According to the ministry, Haryana will get the biggest benefit of this additional loan, which will come to Rs 2146 crore. After this, Punjab has got approval to raise additional loans of Rs 1516 crore, Assam 934 crore, and Himachal Rs 438 crore.

According to the Finance Ministry, the number of states implementing reforms set for business ease has increased to 12. Earlier, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have also fully implemented these reforms.

The Department of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has confirmed this. The ministry further said, due to improving ease of doing business, these 12 states have been approved to raise additional loans of Rs 28,183 crore.

Explain that the Ease of Doing Business Indicator shows the favorable investment climate in the respective state. It is believed that reforms in this area open the way for rapid development in the economy of the state.
