“Atrocities on SCs and STs will not be tolerated,” Erolla Srinivas said.
HYDERABAD: SC/ST Commission chairman Errolla Srinivas has asked Chenchu tribals in Nagarkurnool to approach the commission if they faced any problems.
He also advised the families not to keep their children at home but send them to school.
Erolla Srinivas also said the commission helped 600 children - who belong to the SC and ST communities who had no access to school - join various government institutions, including residential schools and gurukul schools.
During a visit to Amrabad on Saturday, the commission chairman and members, including Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju, visited the local police station and enquired about the status of cases filed by SCs and STs about the issues they faced.
“Atrocities on SCs and STs will not be tolerated,” he said.
