India will achieve 11 pc growth rate in the next fiscal : Jaishankar

Vijayawada, Feb 6 (UNI) Union Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar said that India would achieve 11 per cent growth rate in the next fiscal 2021-22.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that the Union budget focussed on creating the infrastructure and human capability across the country.
He said that the budget proposals rest on six pillars and the health sector was given priority. An amount of Rs.2 lakh crore was allocated for production linked incentives and encouraging innovation.
Stating that the core pillar of the budget is development of human capability, he said that 13 sectors were identified and strongly supported in the budget.
The External Affairs minister said that India combated the Coronavirus effectively by taking many steps.
After the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, health has become one of the most important concerns and that is why priority was given to the health sector in the budget.
Replying to a question on whether there were Ministerial level talks with China on the border standoff, Mr.Jaishankar said that a large number of troops were deployed at the China border to face the challenge.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met his counterpart in Moscow and held talks to resolve the issue with China.
“The Disengagement talk is a very complicated issue because it depends on troops. Military commanders of India and China held nine round of talks on the issue and we believe some progress has been made, but it is not, in a kind of situation, where there is a visible expression of that on the ground”, he explained.
BJP state president Somu Veerraju and MP G V L Narasimha Rao were present at the press conference.
