FM University begins lecture series to renew industry relationship

BHUBANESWAR: Fakir Mohan University on Friday launched a new initiative ‘Meet the eminent academicians and people from the corporate world’ to make their students familiar with industry and corporate world.
University’s vice-chancellor Dinabandhu Sahoo said there will be lecture or interaction series to inspire students for their future. On the inaugural day of the lecture series, HK Patnaik, an industrialist from Vadodora, beautifully explained about global waste management techniques and opportunities of employment for students in industry sector.
“While university stands for training young brains, industries stand for widening employment to such young brains. Therefore, University-Industry partnership is the need of the hour,” said Sahoo while addressing students of his university.
He said the new lecture series between students and eminent academicians and corporate world tycoons would be regularly organized in the campus, so as to motivate students to find their employments and enrich their ideas.
