RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Congress has passed a resolution on Saturday demanding that Rahul Gandhi be made the national party chief again. The resolution was passed in unanimity during a meeting of state Congress working committee and district presidents of the party in Raipur.
Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel placed a proposal demanding that Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi be made the president of Indian National Congress again. The proposal was supported by Congress general secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge PL Punia and state Congress chief Mohan Markam while the resolution was passed in presence of several party representatives.
Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said, "All the Congress party workers are standing firmly with Rahul Gandhi ji having immense faith in him that under his leadership, the Congress organization will be rock solid and absolutely firm. Rahul Gandhi's leadership has instilled trust and faith among Congress workers and supporters. They believe that his influence and guidance will strengthen the foundation of Congress party even more."
Chhattisgarh is the second state after Delhi to have passed such a resolution.
